Good morning, everyone. Today is focused on completing S&T #2; however, we will start off with a brief visit from an IT Security expert. I am also asking for you to contribute questions to the Advising/Registration Google. doc. See the discussion below for more information.

Reminders
Make sure you are working to clear any and all holds on your account. For some of you, this includes the "Think about it!" activity.
You should begin contacting your academic advisors to set up visits to discuss registration.
Students who will still be taking Pathway courses next semester...I am your academic advisor.
Student who will only be taking university courses next semester should contact their major specific advisor. If you need help with this, come see me, and we can figure this out.
Today
IT Visit
Our visitor is going to spend a bit of time talking about phishing.
This is one of many different types of online scams that target you as students at the university.
Please pay attention and ask questions as needed.
Presentations!
Let's do this, guys. You will draw a number from the pile, and that is the order in which you will present.
That seems fair, yes?
A few general reminders:
Make sure that you introduce yourself and your topic.
Speak at a measured pace making sure to emphasize pronunciation.
Since this presentation is informal, it is OK to express emotion and opinion in your speech.
Use transition words to shift between different ideas or sections in your presentation: first, next, in addition...
Make sure to offer a conclusion. If your audience doesn't know when your presentation is actually over...that is probably a sign you didn't conclude your thoughts.
Homework
Please add at least one question you have about advising, registration, or transferring to this document.
Since this is for a grade, everyone should have at least one question that is not a repetition of what another classmate has asked.
Should be easy, right?
